INK-LESS SCAR CAMOUFLAGE

Say goodbye to unwanted marks with scar camouflage! Brazilian camouflage tattooing, also known as scar camouflage, is a medical procedure that uses specialized tattooing techniques to address a variety of concerns. It effectively reduces the appearance of scar, stretch mark, age spots, and even vitiligo (loss of skin pigment). The goal is to seamlessly blend these marks with your natural skin tone, minimizing their visibility and boosting your confidence.

VITILIGO CAMOUFLAGE

Vitiligo camouflage is a cosmetic procedure that involves using specialized techniques and products to conceal or blend the depigmented patches characteristic of vitiligo with the surrounding skin tone. This technique aims to minimize the contrast between normal skin and affected areas, helping individuals with vitiligo feel more confident about their appearance. Vitiligo camouflage can involve various methods such as Skin Camouflage to achieve a more uniform skin tone and reduce the visibility of depigmented patches.

Ink-Less Stretch Mark Removal at Arch Angels NYC & NJ

Unlike traditional tattooing, ink-less stretch mark removal uses a customized blend of serums instead of ink. This gentle approach helps your skin heal itself by stimulating the production of collagen, elastin, and melanin. These are the building blocks for smoother, healthier skin, improving the tone, texture, and overall appearance of your stretch mark.

BENEFITS OF SCAR CAMOUFLAGE

  • Fewer side effects: Because no ink is involved, ink-less scar camouflage is generally considered to be a safer option than ink-based scar camouflage. There is less risk of infection or allergic reaction.
  • May improve scar texture: In addition to improving the color of the scar, it may also help to improve the texture of the scar. This is because the procedure involves microneedling, which can stimulate collagen production.
  • Good for new scar: it can help to prevent them from becoming raised or discolored.
  • Improved appearance
  • Boosted confidence
  • Non-Invasive
  • Long-lasting results
  • Can be used on a variety of scar

A natural way to minimize the appearance of scars. In Arch Angels NYC & NJ, we offer a Scar camouflage technique, which is a paramedical tattooing treatment that provides a non-invasive solution for individuals dealing with scars, regardless of the cause.

Brazilian camouflage tattooing, also known as scar camouflage, is a medical restorative tattooing method used to cover up scars, stretch marks, spots, and vitiligo. The main purpose of this procedure is to lessen the contrast between the tone of an undesired body mark and the tone of the individual’s healthy skin. Trying to make it as inconspicuous to the naked eye as possible.

The INK CAMOUFLAGE works similarly to the permanent makeup technique.

It is used mostly for:

  • White and Flat Stretch Mark/Scars,
  • Raised scars
  • Light-colored scars.

Some of its characteristics are:

  • It uses a Synthetic Solution,
  • It covers up skin color,
  • It is a Non Laser Treatment
  • It is better for specific conditions

While the INKLESS CAMOUFLAGE method delivers special serums that boost collagen production, it is a micro-needling procedure that combines serums, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, peptides, and other additives.

It is used mostly for:

  • Any Color  Stretch Mark/Scars
  • Darker skin tones
  • Newer scars (red/pink)

Some of its characteristics are:

  • Natural Solution
  • Repairs Damage
  • Ideal for Fresh Scarring
  • Boost Collagen Production

Effective and life-changing tattoo scar camouflage treatments offer hope and renewed confidence for those seeking to minimize the visibility of scars. In Arch Angels NYC we offer Innovative treatments that provide tailored solutions that seamlessly blend with your skin or otherwise minimize the look and feel of the scar, helping you embrace a more harmonious appearance. These common types of scar camouflage treatments can help:

  • Burn Scar Camouflage
  • Surgical Scar Camouflage
  • Acne Scar Camouflage
  • Breast Scar Camouflage
  • Areola Scar Camouflage
  • Stretch Mark Camouflage
  • Facelift Scar Camouflage
  • Self Harm Scar Camouflage
  • Tummy Tuck Scar Camouflage
  • Hair Transplant Scare Camouflage
  • Gender Affirming Scare Camouflage
  • Micropigmentation Scar Camouflage

We use micropigmentation techniques to implant pigment or serum in the scar or stretch mark in order to help it visibly blend better with the surrounding skin color.

  • It is Non-invasive and cost-effective alternative to surgeries or other medical procedures.
  • It provides Pigment Harmonization: recolored Scar blends with the surrounding skin color.
  • The results are typically permanent, allowing people to enjoy the benefits without the hassle of daily touch-ups.
  • After healing, the treated area seamlessly integrates with the surrounding skin, becoming less noticeable to the eye.
  • Scar camouflage can significantly reduce the visibility of scars, including surgical scars, injury scars, and even self-harm scars.

Feel more comfortable and confident in your own skin by diminishing the visibility of scars.

Many patients use micropigmentation and inkless scar camouflage procedures to disguise:

  • Face lift scar
  • Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) scar
  • Cleft palate reconstruction
  • Stretch marks
  • Orthopedic surgery scar
  • Dog bite scar
  • Breast reconstruction scar
  • Cancer port scar
  • IPL Laser burns/hypopigmentation
  • Vitiligo
  • Trans female to male (FTM) top surgery scar
  • Self-harm scar
  • Burn scar
  • Skin graft scar
  • Hypopigmentation from poison ivy

Scar camouflage works best for lighter or white scars that blend poorly with surrounding skin. Unfortunately, it’s not suitable for darker scars, raised or keloid scars, or scars on those with certain skin conditions. Fresh scars are also not recommended for this procedure. It’s important to wait at least 1 year after a scar forms before considering camouflage. Scars can change significantly during this time.

The following current conditions exclude you from being an eligible candidate:

Medical Conditions:

  • Pregnancy/Lactation
  • Bleeding Disorders
  • Cancer
  • Currently taking antibiotics or steroids
  • Currently receiving chemo/radiation treatment

Skin Conditions:

  • History of Keloid scarring
  • History of hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation or pigmentation disorders
  • Unhealthy or broken skin
  • Inflammation
  • Extensive sun or tanning (3 days before and 8 weeks after)
  • Accutane use in the past 6 months to 1 year in the treated area
  • Use of Glycolic acid products, Retin-A, or Renova in the past 4 weeks in treated area

Other Considerations:

  • Waxing the area to be treated in the past 7 days
  • Any other chemical peel in the treated area within 8 weeks
  • History of Herpes Simplex (with exceptions – see below)
  • Herpes Exception: If the area to be treated is prone to cold sores, a preventive dose of Acyclovir/Valtrex is required for scar camouflage.

Days 1-3: You may experience redness, swelling, tightness, and/or a burning sensation similar to sunburn.

Days 4-7: The treated area will likely become dry, flaky, and might develop a small amount of scabbing.

Expect some discomfort during scar camouflage treatment, ranging from a mild 2 to a more intense 6 on a pain scale depending on the treated area. While numbing agents are typically avoided because they can temporarily whiten the skin (blanching) and obscure the scar border, a topical anesthetic will be applied to help manage discomfort. This will also depend on your pain tolerance.

Scar camouflage tattooing isn’t suitable for lightening darker scar. In fact, attempting to tattoo over hyperpigmented areas can actually make them worse by causing increased hyperpigmentation.
